Q: What is one book that you would be nervous to see a movie adaption of because you think the movie could never live up to the book?
One of my favorite books is "Lover Eternal" by JR ward.
i simply love this book.
if you haven't read it, buy it now, run get it now! :)
yet, i think it would be a terrible terrible movie. i don't know any actor that can live up to my expectations, nor can i see the book being acted out.
what book wouldn't live up to a movie in your opinion??

I haven't read it yet! But from everything I've heard (a lot) I see what you mean it seems like it would be hard to translate.
ReplyDeleteMy answer: Chaos Walking trilogy.

I've heard such amazing things about this series! I can see how hard it would be to cast the characters and carry out the story in a way that would do the book/series justice. Thanks for stopping by!

I actually think that any paranormal romance like your pick, or an urban fantasy like the Fever books on mine, would be hard to make into movies. They are actually in the works for making Darkfever into a movie. It would definitely not be PG-13. I think it would be terrible if they even tried to give it that rating. I'd much rather it be R rated with all the things in it that make the book great.

I've never heard of this book but I'm definitely going to have to look for it now. I'll keep my eyes open! I totally agree with you. For some books, there is no person in the whole world that could ever be the perfect main character. And anything less is just not going to cut it :) Great answer, and thanks for stopping by my blog!
ReplyDeleteWith Lulu...never heard of this one! I'll be looking for it! Thanks for stopping by by FF!!

I don't know? There are a lot of books I don't want to see turned into movies, but I stand by my answer on my FF which is Tamora Pierce's "Emelan" series.
