What I Read...
Bring Me Back
Bring Me Back
By: Karen Booth
Music critic Claire Abby is a single mom dreading her daughter’s departure for college and worried that turning forty will leave her career running on fumes. She’s floored when she lands a Rolling Stone cover story on 80s British rock legend Christopher Penman. She spent her teenage years fantasizing he was her boyfriend.

In person, Christopher is everything Claire feared he’d be—charming, witty and unwilling to address the rumors he’s dodged for a decade. Still, she contains her adolescent fantasies and manages to earn his trust, unearthing the truth and the devastating secret behind it. His blockbuster story is her first priority when she returns home, a nearly impossible task when Christopher starts calling and flirting. She knows she should maintain a professional distance. She knows she should focus on the story. She knows it would be best to simply walk away. But how can she say “no” to the man she could never forget?

Wolf with Benefits (Pride, #8)
Wolf With Benefits
By: Shelly Laurenston

Ricky Lee has no plans of getting serious about anyone, but he will protect Toni Jean-Louis Parker. Not just because he’s been hired to do so, but because it’s the right thing to do. And if that means traveling around the country with one complicated She-jackal, dealing with chocolate-eating wild dogs, instigating trouble between his brothers, and having the most amazing sex he’s ever had…well, who said his job didn’t have perks?

Toni doesn’t know how she keeps getting herself into these situations. But even she has to admit there’s something about Ricky Lee Reed that she finds kind of interesting…and downright sexy. Now they just have to survive long enough to figure out if what they have is worth fighting for…

Lord of Wicked Intentions (The Lost Lords of Pembrook, #3)
Lord of Wicked Intentions
By: Lorraine Heath

Lord Rafe Eason may be of noble blood, but survival taught him to rely only on himself and to love no one. Yet when he sets his eyes on Miss Evelyn Chambers, and earl's illegitimate daughter, he is determined to have her, if only as his mistress.

After her father's death, Evelyn Chambers never imagined she would be sold to the highest bidder, yet circumstances give her little choice except to accept the lord's indecent proposal. Rafe is wealthy, as well as ruthless. Yet his coldness belies deep passion and deeper secrets. If she must be his, Evelyn intends to lay bare everything the Lord of Pembrook is hiding. But dark discoveries threaten to destroy them both until unexpected love guides the last lost lord home.

I don't know what I'm going to read next...Have some stuff I should be reading for reading group...but....meh!

What are you reading this week?

  1. Bring Me Back looks tempting! Enjoy your books...and thanks for visiting my blog.

  2. But..meh! Lol, that made me laugh ;) I hope you have a fab week of reading!!

  3. As much as I like planning out my books for the week, sometimes it's really good to leave it wide open and see how you feel. Hopefully you'll discover something awesome that fits your mood perfectly :-)

  4. Gotta get a new book to read since my library loan of The Girl of Fire and Thorns ended before I was done...ick! I've linked up with BookJourney as well.

What is your reading group reading? Ours is reading Here I Go Again by Jen Lancaster but I've already finished it. Have a great week!

  5. Oh my, that guy on the cover does have wolf eyes...Have a great reading week!

  6. Haha. I hope you can put off your reading group pick and read something you want! :)

  7. That is a gorgeous dress on the cover of Wicked Intentions!

I was going to say that I've been lucky with my book club and we haven't had any duds but then I remembered one I have apparently tried to suppress. The Heart is a Lonely Hunter. We all hated it. Except the person who chose it, saying it was one of her top ten books ever. Luckily, she wasn't at the discussion meeting to hear us all trash it.

I hope your group book is at least better than that one! Enjoy your week!

  8. Sometimes it's nice to just go with a spur of the moment pick! I hope you find some great books to read this week. :)

  9. haha "should" reads are sometimes a pain in the proverbial. Have a great week and enjoy whatever you pick ;)

  10. Three distinct covers and genres. Looks like fun reading. Hope you've had a good week.
