Follow Friday

FEATURE AND FOLLOW FRIDAY IS A BLOG HOP PUT TOGETHER BY TWO HOSTS:PARAJUNKEE AND ALISON CAN READ AS A WAY TO HELP BLOGGERS BECOME AWARE OF OTHER BLOGS AND BLOGGERS.

IT'S A GREAT WAY TO MAKE NEW BLOGGER FRIENDS.

Q: Have you had a character that disappointed you? One that you fell in love with and then “broke up” with later on in either the series or a stand-alone book? Tell us about him or her.

Without a doubt, eve and roarke from the "in death" series have fallen flat for me lately.

they were so awesome in the beginning - the passion was fiery, they fought, they loved, they laughed...and lately they are in a rut.

they aren't fun anymore. there is always a murder to solve and those sweet eve & roarke moments are fewer and farther between.

so we have officially broken up. we don't hang out anymore. we have fond memories, but i just don't see us hanging out anymore. i'll miss you, but its best for both of us.

how about you?

  1. It's like a bad marriage that all the passion has gone out of, huh?

  2. Hmm, I can't say because I'm not familiar with these books. The first character who popped in my head was Edward Cullen lol.

  3. Hopping through. I just realized that Nora Roberts was JD Robb. I'd like to read her books.

  6. I recently read the first three novels but they never really grabbed me. Maybe they'll get better (and then worse) but.. hmm. Maybe it's because I read them in German. Everything is better when you read it in the original language. XD

  13. I'm not familiar with that series, but for some reason (maybe the word death?)your post reminded me how disappointed I was with the main characters at the end of Charlaine Harris' "Grave" series. Step-siblings shacking up? No thanks.

Anyway, thanks for stopping by my FF!

  14. I listened to one book in that series on audio and that was it. I didn't get much heat from them but I think it was the narrator.

  16. I've never read any of the In Death books, but have heard good and bad about them. I think my problem with Nora Roberts is (at least her signature books) she seems formulaic now. I think I'd like to divorce HER hahaha!
Thanks for stopping by, I'm following via GFC :)
