Giveaway: "The Accidental Cougar" Book Tour Stop

Join me in welcoming Tiffany York to the blog today!
I read The Accidental Cougar over the weekend and was blown away. So incredibly funny, wonderful characters, and a realistic look at friendships.

INSPIRATION BEHIND MY BOOK/WHAT DO I LIKE TO READ?
By: Tiffany York

When I was in my 20s, I had older men flocking to me to ask me out. Now that I’m in my 40s, I have men young enough to be my son crawling out of the woodwork who are interested in me. What gives? I didn’t even know what a “cougar” was until I turned 38, and a 19 year old asked me to go to the movies with him. To see what? I wondered. Toy Story?

I didn’t take him up on his offer, but other offers kept coming—and so did the ideas for a book. The allure of an older woman to a younger man is a very real thing. When I started writing The Accidental Cougar, I asked a few young men what it was about older women they found so attractive. “They don’t play games; they’re independent; they know what they want; they’re sexually uninhibited.”

My heroine, Nicole, has a lot of resistance to the idea of dating a much-younger man, but Wil, my hero finds a way to break down those barriers. If there’s one thing I can say about younger men it’s that they’re persistent!

Because I love reading contemporary romantic comedies, my writing style is most influenced by them. Give me fast-paced dialogue, wacky scenarios, and a genuinely fun read, and I am in heaven…or usually, in bed wearing fleece PJs, with my diva Chihuahua snoring on my leg.

Tiffany N. York lives in Southern California with her spirited son, diva Chihuahua, lottsa cats, and 2 extremely loud parakeets. She writes fiction to escape reality. The Accidental Cougar is her first novel. Visit her at www.tiffanynyorkauthor.com

  3. Your first novel? Congrats! Being an oldie--but not moldy--gal myself, I love the premise...although I hope the age difference is not TOO much. I think it's just a little creepy when the age difference is too extreme, whether it's a man or woman who's older.

  6. I read it the first week it was out. It was a fun read with entertaining characters. I'd also add it was the first romance novel I've read and I'll read more if they are as entertaining as this one. Congrats on the release!
