Welcome to my little corner of the world!
When I saw the Alpha Hero Blog Hop, I knew I had to participate. Want to know what I love reading about more than anything? Alpha heroes :)
I think one of my favorite heroes from this year's new releases would have to be Braden from one of my favorite 2012 releases, On Dublin Street.
Braden is no stranger to adversity. A distant mother and overly controlling father have ruled his life but when he meets Jocelyn, he sees something different. Overbearing at times, Braden tries to fit Joss, our heroine, into his neatly ordered life but like all things in life, things don’t quite go as planned.
I loved Jocelyn and Braden individually, but loved them more together. They each were so independent that when they finally decide to be together fireworks erupted. Hilarious, dramatic, emotional and shiver worthy, Joss and Braden were made for one another and I loved it!
Here is my favorite excerpt from this fantastic title -
“Where are the others?”
Braden flicked me a casual glance as he took a sip from the cold glass of water the waiter had just poured. “What others?”
What others? I gritted my teeth. “You said this was a business meeting.”
“Yes, but I didn’t say what business.”
Oh my God. This was a date! No way. First the bossiness, then the handholding… no. No, no, no. I pushed my chair out, about two seconds from shooting up to my feet when Braden’s next words froze me in place.
“You try to leave, I’ll tackle you.” Even though he wasn’t looking at me when he said it, I could tell he was deadly serious.
So for stopping by today, I am offering an e-copy of one of my favorite alpha heroes and his story.
Just leave a comment about who YOUR favorite Alpha hero is with your e-mail for your chance to win!

I think the best thing about Alpha Males is that they aren't threatened by strong females.
ReplyDeleteIf I went with favorite Alphas, not including the ones I write about, I'd have to pick all the Mackenzie men (and Mac) from Linda Howard's series, then there's the Doms in Cherise Sinclair's Shadowland series (especially Master Sam).

ReplyDeleteHey there,
ReplyDeleteDoing the Alpha Male blog hop! I‘m excited to be a part of this hop! A perfect opportunity to meet new authors! It’s always fun trying to visit as many sites as possible!
I love alpha heroes who are take charge men! I'm not talking about obnoxious bullies! They are loyal, loving and caring men. They usually have sexy looks, brains, money and a commanding presence that draws people. When they find their mates and fall in love they will move heaven and earth to stake their claim. This is exciting to watch even when they are not sure why they have to have or be with this particular person. An awesome love dance! It’s definitely addicting to read.
Thanks for the opportunity to meet you, explore your site and win some great prizes.

Why I love Alpha Males is no real surprise! The perfect Alpha Male for me could be a Vampire, a Scottish Laird, an English Rogue/Gentleman, a Werewolf or Shape-shifter, or a Knight. He’s the rogue who thinks he can’t be reformed into a gentleman. He’s the rough and scarred Scottish laird that has a heart of gold. He’s the werewolf or shape-shifter that needs to heal an aching heart because it took him years to find his true mate. He’s the vampire who has waited decades for that special someone’s blood to sing to him and wake him up. And he’s the knight who can defeat the enemy with a quick swing of his sword, but can’t see the love in front of his face. My Alpha Male has eyes that can see into your soul and are as blue as the sea, or as black as a storm. He’s tall and brooding. His heart can enfold you into its grasp and make you fall in love when he gives it to you freely and completely. He is protective and passionate. In the end he is the one that makes your heart jump and butterflies fly in your stomach, and still kiss you until your legs melt!
